Under the authority of the Head of Department, to help to increase the visibility of the Department’s Website and to facilitate the outside world’s access to on-line documents, particularly by supervising the management and development of the Internet site and technological information media.
Under the general authority of the Head of Department, the seconded official carries out the following activities:
- Supervises management, general maintenance and development of the site;
- Contributes to the management of web content (social media, RSS, text, photos and multimedia) and produces new pages, features and products according to the Department’s needs;
- Contributes to drawing up, planning and implementing strategies to develop public use of the site;
- Collects and analyses statistics on media coverage and Internet activity, including on social networks;
- Organises training for other colleagues who may be called on to update the Department’s Website;
- Liaises with other concerned departments of the Council of Europe on communication and computing questions;
- Contributes actively to the performance of other specific tasks of the Department.
Please note that the seconded official may be required to perform other duties not listed in the call for candidates.
Qualifications:
Full course of secondary education, followed by vocational training (at least 6 months) or specialised studies (preferably a university degree in computer science).
Experience:
Appropriate experience of website management and marketing.
Language requirements:
Very good written and oral knowledge of one of the official languages (English or French) and good knowledge of the other; can express oneself and draft clearly, concisely and convincingly in English or French knowledge of one of the official languages (English or French) and good knowledge of the other.
Nationality:
Nationality of one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.
