Job mission

Under the authority of the Head of Office, the incumbent will provide administrative support to the Project team during the implementation of the Council of Europe and the European Union Joint Programme ‘Cooperation on Cybercrime in the Southern Neighbourhood Region’ (Cybercrime@South).

Employment is limited to the duration of the project which is expected to end in June 2020.

Key activities

The incumbent performs the following key duties in close co-operation with the Project team, and in accordance with the Organisation’s procedures, guidelines and priorities, with a concern for quality, efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality:

  • Prepare and follow up on draft purchase orders, administrative arrangements and contracts;
  • Handle travel and accommodation arrangements;
  • Undertake missions in support of project activities;
  • Assist in the editing of reports, reads and makes grammatical corrections of texts; checks translations;
  • Follow project finances;
  • Report to the supervisor on activities in progress and if and when problems occur;
  • Share information between management and staff;
  • Draft and format standard correspondence, memos files and presentations in accordance with instructions, organizes file;
  • Carry out other assignments under this project as necessary.

Eligibility Requirements

This local recruitment procedure is open to applicants already present in Romania.

 Qualifications:

  • Completed full course of general secondary education and appropriate professional qualifications.

Experience:

  • At least three years relevant professional experience relating to administrative or project support duties or similar.

Language requirements:

  • Very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English or French) and good knowledge of the other.

Nationality:

  • Nationality of host country or one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.

Age:

  • Under 65 years of age at the closing date of the vacancy notice.

Additional information

Please note that the remuneration for this position is 1009.60 Euro (gross monthly salary).

Cybercrime@South project is a new regional project of Council of Europe and the European Union on cooperation on cybercrime in the Southern Neighbourhood region. The project aims at strengthening legislation and institutional capacities on cybercrime and electronic evidence in the region in line with human rights and rule of law requirements.

The Organisation
