Job mission

Under the authority of the Head of Operations of the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC), the incumbent will provide administrative support to project teams responsible for the implementation of capacity building projects on cybercrime.

 

Employment is limited to the duration of the respective project for which the incumbent has been selected.

 

Key activities

The incumbent performs the following key duties in close co-operation with the respective project team, and in accordance with the Organisation’s procedures, guidelines and priorities, with a concern for quality, efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality:

  • prepares and follows up on draft purchase orders, administrative arrangements and contracts;
  • makes practical arrangements connected to project activities (ie. travel, visa requests, accommodation and meeting venue bookings, local transport arrangements, interpretation);
  • undertakes missions in support of project activities;
  • assists in the editing of reports, reads and makes grammatical corrections of texts; checks translations;
  • follows project finances;
  • reports to the supervisor on activities in progress and if and when problems occur;
  • shares information between management and the project team;
  • receives, reviews and dispatches incoming correspondence and e-mails; organizes project documents and files and keeps them up to date;
  • drafts and formats standard correspondence, memos and presentations in accordance with instructions;
  • supports communication and visibility linked to relevant interventions (update websites/social media, communication material, organization of visibility events, preparation of press files)
  • carries out other assignments under this project as necessary.

Eligibility Requirements

This local recruitment procedure is open to applicants already present in Romania.

Qualifications:

  • Completed full course of general secondary education and appropriate professional qualifications.

Experience:

  • At least two years’ relevant professional experience relating to administrative or project support duties or similar.

Language requirements:

  • Very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English or French) and basic knowledge of the other;
  • Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.

Nationality:

  • Nationality of host country or one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.

Age:

  • Under 65 years of age at the closing date of the vacancy notice.

Additional information

Please note that the remuneration for this position is 1009.60 Euro (gross monthly salary).

 

Additional information about the projects:

The current vacancies are related to projects aimed at strengthening criminal justice capacities on cybercrime and electronic evidence in the Eastern Partnership region, global capacity building on cybercrime and for the project “End Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse @ Europe”.
